Alan Goodall

Mirfield, West Yorkshire

Alan was born and still lives in West Yorkshire and is well known amongst the local art community.
Following a career in architecture and interior design Alan now paints full time. Self taught he has built an excellent reputation for his expertise in the techniques of watercolour painting.
Alan has exhibited widely including numerous shows for the British Watercolour Society in Ilkley. His work has been published as fine art prints and greetings cards.
Alan enjoys painting local scenes including the Yorkshire Dales, Moors and Coast together with the Lake District. In particular he specialises in architectural subjects and their surroundings.
Alan is a regular tutor at local art groups including the Roberttown Art Group. He is jointly responsible for founding the Northorpe Watercolour Society in Mirfield. This group specialises in the development of more experienced and advanced watercolour artists. Take a look at our web site,
Besides watercolour Alan is an avid sketcher and outdoor artist. He gets immense pleasure from teaching his methods and techniques to others.
In addition to being a Professional Associate of the SAA, Alan is available to run workshops for art groups and clubs; including outdoor painting and sketching days. He also accepts commissions for special works.
Alan also runs painting holidays. Recent venues have included The Lake District and Yorkshire Coast.
