I am a member of Bowburn Art Group Co. Durham. I picked up art 8 years ago after being made redundant from a job with the same company for 20 years. Art helped release me from stress and gave me an interest to develop into retirement. I enjoy watercolours, acrylic, pen and wash and inks. I enjoy collage work too. I love visiting galleries and seeing other types of work. It really inspires me to see how other people work..not to copy but to return to what I enjoy with renewed vigour. I enjoy the company of the group I belong to, they are fun, inspirational and supportive. I love my SAA membership and have encouraged both my group and about 7 other people to join. My aim is to find time to enter more SAA competitions.
