Liz Lees

Charming, warm images of today
People in simple line or bright oils.
All images are of people and events Liz has seen as she goes about everyday life both in the city and countryside of the young, old and all ages in between. often without faces so that they can be the people of your memory.
With her 'caught in the moment' artwork Liz finds things to smile about, remind us of people we know and situations we have all been in or seen.
Thick palette knife oils give texture and relief to skies, seas, mountains and even the blades of grass.
Liz is on the Equity Stage Designers Register, has worked in all aspects of theatre and in writing plays for performance.
Liz has drawn inspiration from life in rural Scotland, city centre Manchester, suburban London and the British countryside.
Current work can be seen on the web site
Liz has had work shown in solo and group exhibitions on the Bayswater Road, in The Maltings, Farnham; Tadworth Children's Trust; Bourne Hall, Ewell; Whitehall Museum, Cheam; The Library, Sutton Arts Council; Corner Gallery, Carshalton: Aberdeen Arts Centre, Under the Hammer, Transitions McMillan, The Milton Gallery, Banchory; Meffan Gallery, Forfar; Peacock Arts, Aberdeen; Edinburgh Festival Fringe; Vernon Mill, Stockport; Old Trafford Artists Exhibition; Actor’s Centre Manchester; New Harvest Theatre Company; Syndicate Theatre Company; Guildford School of Acting; North East Theatre Aberdeen.
