Artist In Residence

For this painting I used a background of stone grey mixed with some magenta. I then mixed liquitex inks with flow medium and squeezed on some thin and thick lines in black and white onto the canvas. I then removed masking tape and paper from the top right hand side of the painting and painted in a black "window". I then added an artist at work adding the only red colour to this painting to the artists brush. I then mixed up some ivory white with flow medium and added a ladder so the 'artist could enter into the canvas to paint'. Finally I mixed some white with string gel and added a few more thin spiral lines here and there.
