This little "Still Life" was a joy to paint. I used acrylics on gessoed board and this smooth surface took the paint well and details were rather easy to obtain.
So, is it a pet portrait or still life? This cheeky hamster, is surprised by you while enjoying a stolen strawberry, is certainly a little pet.
