Chateau De Gurson

Murray Ince

Pastel on Pastelmat paper. This is the scene with the old ruined Chateau de Gurson which sits on a hill behind the Chateau De Gurson vinyard in the Bergerac region of France and is just up the road from the Maison De Gurson from where together with the hosts Ray and Charmaine I run painting holidays. The little building which is the main focus of the painting was actually once a prison with room for just a single prisoner with room for an officer of the law above, it along with many other subjects in the surrounding area make fantastic subjects.

  • Media: Pastel
  • Subject: Landscape or Woodland Scene
