Dance Of Death

I would like to thank Trix Jonker who gave me permission to use the photograph she took which this painting is based on. This poor unfortunate warthog was killed when it happened upon some sleeping lions. Apparently it had a lucky escape the first time, before foolishly wondering back in to the lion's den for a second time. I have used my artistic licence and added a couple of things not in the photograph. I have drawn in some bloody scratch marks on the hogs side and tried to show what could be the last breath coming from the dying animal. The Dance Of Death picture was done on Pastelmat paper using Derwent drawing pencils
