This painting was created especially for the annual Little Bentley Hall Waterways and Garden exhibition . I was inspired by a photograph in Country Life magazine and I took a reference photo from the same standpoint when I visited the venue. I traced the outline of the house, windows and hedge to help positioning and did the rest freehand using watercolour wet on dry mainly except the sky which was wet on wet.
