Jay

This was my first painting in pastels and I completed it after doing an initial head study of Jay in pencils. Although it does not show her features, I was captivated by the elegance of her swan-like neck, beautiful bone structure and her long hair swept up into a bun. I used a selection of colours that I felt captured her bright and sunny personality.
