Kinski
A pastel drawing of Kinski our Yellow Thighed Caique.
The drawing was started as a coloured pencil (Derwent Lightfast) drawing on Pastelmat paper but I was struggling to get any blending - I don’t have an orange in the Lightfast range and I struggled to get a nice blend with the red and yellow. Fortunately I had just done the outline and the crown in the coloured pencil, so I quickly changed to using Pastels. It’s a bit grainy on the crown but it was better than just throwing it away…
Pan pastels, Faber Castel and Derwent pastel pencils and SAA soft pastels on Pastelmat paper.
