Kinski after a bath!
An acrylic painting of Kinski our Yellow Thighed Caique looking all bedraggled just after he’s had a bath.
I’d just invested in a collection of palette knives and felt they would be ideal for capturing the matted look of his feathers.
I used a variety of “Script” acrylic paints, Hobbycraft acrylic paints and Series 3 heavy bodied titanium white acrylic paint on Clairefontaine mixed media paper. A white Posca pen was used for the wire mesh in the background.
