Landscape Moods 47: Labyrinth

?Landscape Moods 47: Labyrinth? is a painting directly inspired by leaf and branch formations around me, exploring a different approach to my work. The paintings name is ?Labyrinth? due to the nature and design of the branches, which you instinctively navigate through the painting, just as you may do when looking at a puzzle or map. A mixture of Derwent Aquatone Sticks adding additional texture and layers of colour in the braches and trunk, coupled with an abstract canopy created with acrylic matt, gloss and metallic background. This painting contains vibrancy, energy and mood, featuring bright and subdued colours which show flashes of colour through the trees branches. This piece is created on a deep edge Loxley Gold quality canvases. Mediums that are used include: Derwent Aquatone Sticks and acrylic paint (gloss, matt and metallic). Size (w x h x d): 91 x 91 x 4 cm. This image is COPYRIGHT ? Laura. H. Elliott and cannot be reproduced without prior permission.
