Sea Nymph
This is a transcription/ homage of one of Gustav Klimt's figure studies and was made while I was staying on the SE coast of Britain. The flowers in the painting are taken from local maritime flowers which proliferate along this coastal stretch in springtime. The photo doesnt really do the painting justice; the hair, for instance , is mainly turquoise and lemon yellow, as befits an exotic, unearthly being such as this. The figure is over life-size.
