Self Portrait

Iris Howitt

A new millennium and a new instrument to play - the Scottish smallpipes.
These ones are mouth blown, hand made for me from the wood of a yew tree, grown in the family orchard of the instrument maker. They were made in the unusual key of B flat, for an easier stretch with small hands.
I love making music.
