Wonderful
A pleased art student.
The finished article!
Sitting down to paint.
The colours are really coming together.
It's always good to stand back and take a look at the painting as a whole.
A scrummy lunch.
Brightly coloured sky and sea.
Just checking all is as it should be.
Clouds added.
Action shot - we giggle our way through painting that day.
Completed paintings.
Step-by-step two tone clouds.
Looking good....
Time for lunch.
I'm obviously having a bit of a moment in this photo!
The clouds in the paintings were as stormy as the ones above us.
Preparing the canvas with liquid white so that the oils could slide on top to create a wet-on-wet oil technique.
Sky and sea in place.
How to paint clouds....
Concentrating....
And we're finished....
Wow - vivid colours from one art student.
Good food and a rest is essential in the middle of it all.
Sitting down to paint.
Deep concentration by all.
Fellow students observing another's work.
Me showing the first step using black gesso.
All set and ready...
A really enjoyable day and for the majority of these students it is their first time using oils.
Half way through....
No time to think when painting - total absorption.
Its so wonderful to see everyone's painting - we're all doing the same picture, but each one is unique and totally different just like each person.
All set and ready to go.
And we're off....
Good food, a sit down and rest is always essential
First time painting for one of these art students.
This art student is starting to break free and create their own colours and style - beautiful.
Another double oval - yaay!
Stunning colours - very Hawaiin!
It's so exciting when the transparency is removed to reveal the double ovals.
Art student's second painting using oils
Art student's first painting of a seascape
Art student's lake and waterfall
Two happy art students with their completed paintings
Art student's first painting - beautifully clear colours
Everyone was welcome and I received lots of feedback.

More paintings from another viewpoint.
More of a close-up.
From a distance.
And of course we had to take a photo with Casha the greyhound in as well.
