Sally Evans

I loved the texture of the rocks which I've highlighted in my painting. I used a toothbrush and masking fluid to suggest the rock faces and rough texture. I love the diagonal rocks in the bottom left corner as they lead you into the picture. I felt the headland came out too far so I've shown more sea to divide the composition into thirds.
Because the photo was a bit dull, I have painted bright sunlight coming from the left and have left the hills dark.
I've called the the painting Watershed as the three figures have reached a deep crevice in the rocks - The two figures in red are more adventuous and want to keep going but the other lady is hanging back!
