Just one word – a very big word.
In my opinion, expression is the most interesting and important aspect of Art, and is one of the leading traits of my tuition.
When we express emotions, we generally all follow the same path – if we are happy, we laugh; if we are sad, we cry. However, when it comes to Art, we all express ourselves differently, and in a very individual way. With Art, there is no right or wrong way to express what you see before you. In many cases, we can combine on paper what we feel in our hearts and heads, as well as what we see before us.
For example, if you look side by side at an Abstract and Traditional painting of the same composition, who can say that either of them is right or wrong, good or bad? They are equal in their expression, but from an individual’s eye, creating two very different results.
My aim when teaching Art, is to bring out this individualism. To help people develop the skills to portray their own expressions of what they see and feel when creating a painting. My group sizes are always on the small side, or even on a one to one basis, to enable me to spend quality time with every individual attending a course or a workshop.
I believe wholeheartedly that there is an artist inside every single one of us, and if you think I can help you to bring out your creative side, or help you develop a specific skill, feel free to contact me at any time – I’m sure we will have a lot of fun whilst you create Artwork that you can be proud of.
