Although I use a lot of different elements in my paintings, the majority of my artwork is of a fantasy genre, portraying scenes in fairy tales and folklore. I am particularly interested in those early versions of stories, the ones that are forgotten by most people.
In these demonstrations, I will share with you my latest paintings inspired by folklore and fairy tales. I shall share the stories behind them, and you can have fun trying to find all the hidden elements to the painting. Often there is an obscured monster, hidden in plain sight.
If you have a projector, I can show you time-lapse videos of the process of some of the large paintings, and talk you through the techniques I used. I can also demonstrate some of those techniques to you on canvas in person.
