Catherine E Inglis

York, East Yorkshire

I work predominantly in soft pastels with a wide variety of subjects and my wildlife work is well known but commission work for pet & family portraits is what I specialise in.
I have regularly exhibited in the Westminster Gallery and The Mall Galleries London, also with The Kennel Club Art Gallery, London.  Withwork exhibited widely throughout the U.K. and have held several joint and solo exhibitions.  In 2005 I was elected to full membership of the Society of Women Artists and in 2011 won two awards, The Frank Herring & Son Easel Award and Jacksons People’s’ Choice Award at the Society’s Celebratory 150th SWA Exhibition held in the Mall Galleries London.
Work hangs in many areas of the UK, also China, Europe, South Africa, Australia and the USA.  I am included in Who’s Who in Art and a founder member of ERA, East Riding Artists. I have been a Promoter and Professional Associate of the Society for All Artists for several years.
I hold one and two day workshops in pastel at my studio and weekly pastel classes for all abilities in Bishop Wilton Village Hall.  Also available to art groups for pastel demonstrations and workshops.
Work can be seen at my studio near York, or by visiting my website.   Be inspired... Click to watch a short overview designed to showcase a snapshot of the artist’s individual style and techniques in action.
