My art practice is based on's colours, patterns, textures and shapes. Whether I paint expressively in abstracts or representationally, I want to take the viewer on a journey away from their everyday worries and stress to a moment of calm and happiness.

After a career in the administrative field in Australia, my move to the UK over 20 years ago, led me on my new creative life path. A leisure painting class was followed by study of Art History and Modern Art with the Open University and in 2009 I embarked on a BA Fine Art Degree with the Oxford Brookes University. I have also attended workshops with professional artists to learn the practical techniques of art making along with online courses.

I am always wanting to improve my skills and I am sure that my creative endeavours will continue to evolve and advance!

If I HAD to choose one contemporary artist that inspires me, it would be David Hockney. But there are many artists, past and present, whose work I admire.

I love what I do and I am thankful that I can enjoy living my life creatively!
