I chose this subject to paint for entering for the theme 'A little of what you fancy' because I loved the way my grandaughter Bella is looking up at her older brother James and both dripping icecream and making a mess with the icecream. I originally took the photo of them at Blandford Georgian Fair, Dorset. They had an uninteresting wall behind them, so I thought it was a good idea to use some artistic license and put my grandchildren on Southbourne Beach, Bournemouth where they live.
