SAA Challenge - Glass

Closing date: 01/06/2024

Glass can be a tricky subject to master, but we know that you are all up for a challenge!

One of the main misconceptions about painting crystal and glass is that it’s dull and colourless due to its transparency; however look closer and you’ll see that it actually absorbs an array of colours from the surrounding environment, making crystal and glass anything but colourless!

Use your imagination and go big! You don’t have to still with glassware, glass can be found everywhere from panes in a window to being washed up on a beach – we can’t wait to see what you create.

If you in need of some tips, Joyce Faulknor has created a great ‘how to’ guide on Video on Demand.

We’ll share our favourite paintings over social media and in the Summer edition of paint & create.

Good luck
