David Starley - Recent Work

Held by David Starley

‘David Starley Recent work’ A show of my own
- perhaps the hardest to promote, but perhaps I can steal some of the kind words said about my work by Andrew Liddle in the new (Feb) edition of the Dalesman Magazine.
….’stunningly realistic portraits of Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. These are the sublime sites of David Starley’s artistic vision, but few have ever represented Airedale in such different styles as he has, or with such a keen eye for its varied moods.
Very effusive, even a little embarrassing, but there are also some lovely comments about the Gallery of which I am very proud. The exhibition will launch on Wednesday 31 Jan (7-9pm) to which all are welcome to join us for a glass of wine. The show will then run from Thursday 1 Feb to Sunday 17th March.
Accompanying my work on the walls will be the wood panels of Gavin Edwards, like me another former archaeologist
