Living in Hampshire alongside both the New Forest and the banks of Southampton Water my artwork is influenced by my surroundings and life experiences.
I always strive to capture that element in a subject that inspires and compels me to paint; this being the spirit of the place rather than a photographic image. In the case of my abstracts each painting is a journey of exploration and discovery, my mood and emotions determine the colours but the painting takes its own direction towards the end result.
