My monthly Watercolour Workshop (nominally on the second Saturday of each month) are held at my Studio in Nevendon. They start at 10am and finish at 4pm. Students bring their own lunch.
These workshops cover many different aspects of painting (many of which can be applied to other mediums), for example: Drawing, Composition, Design, Value Pattern Sketches, Colour Theory.
You are encouraged to bring your own subjects/photos for painting, this gives you the option of applying the theories discussed to your own work or you can choose to use the examples provided. Weather permitting you can also use one of the many subjects in the grounds around the Studio. I have been landscaping this plot since 1996 and have introduced many interesting objects for this very purpose. These include an old carriage, slate monoliths, a folly, a wishing well and even a set of Lockgates by the pond!
Size of classes is restricted to allow a more personalized experience. Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis (secured with a £15 deposit). Cost for the workshop is £35. If you are interested then please email: ian@ianart.co.uk
