One of my favourite subjects to paint in oils is water – and it is surprisingly simple when you learn my techniques, yet looks so effective.
I suggest that you let me know what sort of body of water the members of your art group are most interested in learning to paint. I can demonstrate to you:
>how to paint still water ie a pond or lake
>how to paint rippling or moving water
>how to paint waterfalls
>how to paint waves
Over time I have explored methods of painting water, some of which I made up myself, and would love to share these techniques with you. Each body of water involves different brushes and brush strokes to get the right effect, so if you want to learn about all four types, I suggest requiring a couple of demonstrations or workshops.
