Laura Gill is an Edinburgh born and based artist, who graduated from The University of Edinburgh in 2011 with MA (Hons) Fine Art.
Her paintings, drawings and digital images are concerned with the timeless quality of movement, primarily of the human figure. By simplifying the figure so that it is neither male nor female, the body is represented as a microcosm of continually changing rhythmic forms. The repetitious shapes and patterns in her images illustrate the way movements made by the human body transcend time.
