Drowning Jetty
Lake Trasimeno is very shallow, and has many sticks in it to mark passages, and also fishermen's nets.In the last year or two the water level has risen dramatically, back to levels of twenty years or more ago. As a result many pontoons, jetties and trees are semi-submerged - this is one such. Painted from a photo taken by my friend Amerigo Amerighi.
