Established in the early 1970s we are a society for artists of all ages and abilities who get together once a month to share our enthusiasm for art. We continue to develop our own techniques, learning from the many evening demonstrations and from workshops that take place during the year. There are also self-help days and painting out days where we can gain support and advice from other members. Visitors are welcome.
Demonstration evening meetings are held on the third Wednesday in the month (except August and December) at St Nicholas Church Hall, Church Lane, Barton-le-Clay at 19:15.
Saturday workshops are arranged throughout the year (please see our website and SAA pages for details)
In addition, we have exhibitions in the Spring and Autumn, at which members can display their work in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. As well as the chance to buy original paintings and members' cards, visitors can watch demonstrations and talk to the artists, enjoy a range of refreshments, or take a chance in the tombola.
