1. Simply ScumptiousThis small art group was formed in 1973, and is named after Streatham Vale, the area where we meet. We are unique in that we have the exclusive permission to hold open air exhibitions and sales at "The Rookery" (gardens) at the top of Streatham Common. These are generally about 6 or 7 Sundays, and Bank Holidays during the summer. (just 20p hanging fee per picture, plus 10% commision to the club on sales). Exhibitions are also held at other venues during the year Vale Artists welcomes everyone, from beginner to the experienced. Art work in all media is catered for. For those who wish to learn various techniques,or share their own, we organize workshops,demonstrations and competitions throughout the year. As from October 2017 we will amalgamate with West Norwood U3A, thus giving us more prospective members, plus other clubs and activities for our members to visit..................... Membership fees are just £20.00 per annum, this covers 12 monthly meetings. Every 3rd. Wednesday of the month 10.00am till 12noon. The venue is:- Immanuel and St. Andrew Church. 452 Streatham High Road. SW16 3PY. It's the church with the square tower at the bottom of Streatham Common.
