Bexhill Art Society

Bexhill Art Society is a strong group of local artists with just under 100 members of all abilities. We welcome new visitors to our meetings at St Augustines church hall off Cooden Drive; these take place on the first Saturday of each month (not Jan) from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. when a visiting artist will demonstrate a variety of techniques
Workshops are also organized on a regular basis.
The Society holds an annual exhibition at the iconic De La Warr Pavilion


The Bexhill Art Society a well established art group in the Bexhill-on-Sea area with  about 100 members. We meet on the first Saturday of each month, with the exception of January, between 2.0 pm and 4.30 pm at St Augustines Church Hall, St Augustine's Close, (off Cooden Drive), Bexhill-on-Sea, TN39 3AZ.
 
 From March to November we have demonstrations by different artists showing their techniques in a variety of media. Our December Meeting is party time with a picture competition and art related quiz. We do not meet in January, because none of us want to leave the fireside and the February meeting is our AGM so probably best not to come to that one.  Annual membership is £25 but you are welcome to visit for a Saturday  afternoon to get a feel for our friendly society, enjoy a cup of tea and talk to like-minded people for £5. We have a sales table and are able to order from SAA through the club.
 
 We hold an exhibition annually at the De La Warr pavilion for members to show and sell their artwork to the public, as well as having prizes awarded by contributors such as the De La Warr Pavilion, Judges cards and Hastings Contemporary Gallery.
 
 Several workshops are arranged throughout the year where members are able to practise together to help improve their painting abilities.
