Ray begins the video by demonstrating various types of wash. He introduces the use of dry brushwork and how different types of sky can be created with certain techniques. Ray also teaches how to use masking fluid effectively along with producing shadows and tonal contrast. Ray continues by taking his canvas outdoors to capture a woodland scene, combining many of the skills learnt throughout the video to create a stunning end result.
