I have 45 years of drawing and painting experience and almost as many years of teaching experience. I work in and can teach oils, acrylics, watercolours, pencil, pastel and charcoal. Subjects covered include landscape, waterscape, portraiture (human and pet), still life and flowers.

I teach all levels from beginner to advanced but specialise particularly in teaching beginners and helping them switch from the logical, linear left hemisphere of the brain onto the non-linear, non-verbal, creative right hemisphere in order to unlock their creative talents and give them the confidence to realise that they really CAN draw and paint.

I consider drawing to be the foundation to all art work, especially 2D work, so I have created a range of teaching materials and techniques to help my students to be able to “see” the way an artist sees and the results are amazing!
