The Coggeshall Art Group is a vibrant community of artists and craftsmen based in Coggeshall, Essex, United Kingdom. The group was established in 1993 following a successful Arts & Crafts exhibition. Its primary aim is to provide a local space for practicing artists and craftsmen to exchange ideas and techniques.

Members gather on the first Wednesday of each month at Christ Church on Stoneham Street in Coggeshall. CO6 1UH. These meetings are a blend of inspiration, learning, and camaraderie. The agenda includes a mix of:

Speakers: Invited artists and experts share their insights.
Demonstrations: Practical workshops where members can learn new techniques.
Social Time: Tea or coffee.

Diverse Backgrounds: The group comprises artists from various backgrounds:

Some have formal art training.
Others are self-taught.
And some simply want to rekindle their passion for painting.

The Coggeshall Art Group hosts a successful annual exhibition, showcasing the talents of its members. In 2024, the exhibition moves to a new venue—The Keys Room, Coggeshall Village Hall, CO6 1UH. This new venue is adjacent to the public car park. While it’s a members’ group, we warmly welcome new artists. Non-members can also participate in the annual exhibition.
