Hutton Buscel Artists

Hutton Buscel Artists

The HBA’s are a unique group of artists who live in the village of Hutton Buscel, which is on the edge of the North York Moors National Park between Pickering and Scarborough. The group was the brainchild of Shirley Doyle who got together a group of artists friends with the view to holding an exhibition, but as word got around, membership soon grew. There are now 12 members who are all very talented ‘artisans’ ranging from photographers, ceramicists, portraiture, wildlife and equine artists, illustrated poetry, textile artists, oil painters and pastelists, watercolourists, landscape and seascape artists, haberdashery and much much more. Our annual exhibition includes ‘all’ aspects creativity in any medium.   Every month we meet with the sole purpose of planning our annual exhibition, which takes place at the end of each November. Holding the exhibition just a few weeks before Christmas means that we can include a festive theme, which has proven very popular in recent years.
Be sure to check out their Poppy Installation in the grounds of the church.
