Kimberley Art Group meet each Monday between 7pm and 9pm (excluding Bank Holidays) at the Nat Puri Community Room, Kimberley School, Newdigate Street, Kimberley. NG16 2NJ. We’d love to welcome you to our group.
Kimberley Art Group was originally established 17 years ago by local artist Alan Potter and Ann Wheat, who is also our treasurer.
We lost Alan's professional guidance when he moved away from the area a few years ago. However, our group of about 15 members has continued to thrive without a regular tutor.
Members of the group work in a wide range of mediums and although everyone has their favourite subjects we enjoy the challenge of trying something new. Members are always on hand to help and encourage. There are a selection of materials if anyone wants to have a go before committing to buying their own equipment, and a small library of art books and magazines. Each year we hold an annual open day and stage a month long exhibition at the local library together with the occasional workshops.
We like to include a project in our annual exhibition and this year we each produced a picture of local landmarks/views in the Kimberley area. These will be on display at our exhibitions in Kimberley and Eastwood Libraries.
There is an annual membership fee of £10 and members pay £2.50 each week that they attend, which includes tea/coffee. There is no charge for the first week for potential new members.
The group meet each Monday between 7pm and 9pm (excluding Bank Holidays) at the Nat Puri Community Room, Kimberley School, Newdigate Street, Kimberley. NG16 2NJ. We'd love to welcome you to our group.
