Mansfield Society of Artists - formed in 1934, with continuous membership up to the present day. Saturday morning workshops, 3 demonstrations by visiting artists per year, 1/2 full day workshops and 2 exhibitions held at Mansfield Museum and Art Gallery

The Mansfield Society of Artists had its origins in 1934, when a group of miners from Bolsover got together with a common interest in painting. We continue to have a strong, active membership and a varied programme of events throughout the year, including demonstrations, workshops and exhibitions. Society membership is open to anyone with an interest in art and a desire to improve their skills. We are an extremely friendly society and are keen to encourage beginners through to professionals.
