Do you enjoy being creative? Have you ever looked at a painting or a drawing or piece of sculpture and thought 'I could do that' or wished that somebody was around who could help and advise you with your work? If the answer is yes, you may be interested in the following. We are the Nuneaton & District Society of Artists which may sound quite intimidating, but is actually a mixture of people with varying degrees of ability who meet regularly in the Arden Room at Bulkington Village Community Centre, Bedworth, Warwickshire on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 pm between February and December each year. We are a friendly bunch and we welcome both beginners and experienced artists. We have a calendar which includes in-house workshops, visits by demonstrators, member workshops, DVD evenings and visits to places of artistic interest. Club exhibitions are held regularly at the BVC and all members tend to help out, members are encouraged to sell their artwork through these events. Some have more experience than others, but we all have one thing in common, we enjoy creating things. We help and encourage each other to improve and expand their skills and we are always happy to welcome new people to our group. We currently number 23 members of different backgrounds, age and ability who cover subjects ranging from pencil, watercolour, acrylic and oils to pastels, paper cutting and sculpture. Why not come along and see for yourself. The venue is Bulkington Village Community Centre, School Road, Bulkington, Warwickshire, CV12 9JB, telephone 02476 494094 at the centre or email Jennifer or Andrew on their contact emails below:
