Royal Wootton Bassett & District Art Society

Royal Wootton Bassett & District Art Society

Royal Wootton Bassett & District Art Society was first established in 1982, we are a friendly group and welcome artists of all abilities.

We meet at Hook Village Hall every Wednesday between September and June with a small break over Christmas and New Year, We do not offer tuition though help and advice is always available and we also run occasional workshops.

Membership of the society is not subject to assessment of work portfolios but may be subject to a waiting list depending on our membership numbers at the time of application.

We hold an annual exhibition usually in May.

Royal Wootton Bassett & District Art Society was founded in 1982 by a group of friends with a shared love of art. Based in the Civic Centre in Royal Wootton Bassett for many years and now in Hook Village Hall SN4 8EA.
Three competitions are held each 'term' with invited external judges, these consist of three subjects and entry is optional, there is also a 'Chairman's Challenge' competition each term. All competition entries are awarded points with extra points awarded to the first three places, all of these points add up during the year and at Christmas an annual shield is awarded. Points can also be gained by entering paintings into our annual exhibition.
We have a programme for each term which can be seen on our website
