Watford And Bushey Art Society

Founded in 1921, our 'Welcome to All' membership policy, with no selection process, means that members include a wide spectrum of people ranging from gifted professionals to absolute beginners and those with just an interest in art. The Society offers many opportunities for members to exhibit and sell their work including the Exhibitions in the INTU (former Harlequin) Shopping Centre in Watford. The core of our activities is the monthly evening meetings which are held on the first Tuesday of each month. These include demonstrations, talks, competitions and media experimentation evenings and the demonstrations are simultaneously projected onto the 'big screen' so that all can see easily. We meet at Tennet Hall, Watford Grammar School for Girls Hall in the centre of Watford on Lady's Close, WD18 0AE. Doors open at 7.00 for 7.30pm. Visitors are always welcome, do not need to come with a member and pay just £4 at the door. In addition to our regular meetings the Society has a Monday Art Group which meets at the historic Frobisher Studio in Bushey. This is an untutored session and the group chooses a subject to work on which includes outdoor sessions when the weather is good enough.. The Society is a very friendly and welcoming group, so why not come and join us. It is just £28 per year for all the meetings plus a lot of extras.
