Woodsmoor Artists

A mixed ability, age & gender group who enjoy making art & challenging themselves in a supportive environment.

Woodsmoor Artists was created in Sept 2014 by 2 neighbours looking for a new style of art group. The aim being to challenge members to stretch their artistic muscles, experiment with various mediums & to leave their comfort zone. From this tentative start it quickly grew into a thriving & dynamic group answering a need within the area for an art group with a different approach.  
In Oct 2016 we started an evening group as we had developed a waiting list for the group.  The evening group runs on the same principles as the original, morning group.
 
The programme is varied & includes member led session, visiting professionals as well as occasional full day workshops & plein-air outings.  We currently hold 2 exhibitions a year, Spring & Autumn, which support local charities &, this year (2017), we organised an Art Trail in old Stockport.
 
We meet weekly on Wednesdays at Trinity Methodist Church, Bramhall Lane, Davenport, SK3 8TP.  The morning group meet from 9.30am - 12, the evening group meet 7pm - 9.30pm.  We have a 2 week break at Christmas, Easter & the first 2 weeks in Aug.
