Alan Chown I was born in Northamptonshire but now live in Milton Keynes and have a career background in design. I have now been painting for about 11 years after taking early retirement. As well as being a member of one or two local art groups I exhibit regularly in exhibitions throughout North Bucks and South Northamptonshire. I started my artwork using basic pen and ink drawings and it's only in the last few years that I have developed my style to include watercolours and mixed media. I really enjoy the challenge of watercolours and occasionally take workshops for local art groups where hopefully I can share my enthusiasm with others. I have recently started to use acrylics, collage and mixed media bringing in elements of watercolour and penwork.
