I’ve always loved art but after a bad experience I fell out of love with it. For almost 10 years, I didn’t pick up a brush. Then, on a local walk, I found an Islastone. I knew about Islastones but I had never actually found one. This inspired me to start painting again and try to do good for an amazing cause. I work in acrylic mainly but I also paint watercolour cards for special occasions. My main objective is to paint stones to raise money and awareness for the Islastone Foundation which can be seen on Facebook. It’s a charity set up to raise money to fund research into a rare childhood cancer DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) which has a 0% survival rate.
