Enthused by Light, suffused with Mood - to bring these elements into play in my paintings is the end goal each time I embark on a painting. Living and working between Norfolk and the Inner Hebrides it is inevitable that works are based around water or boats.

I aim to inspire those I teach to go beyond the look of things to express their thoughts, moods feelings; the connotations that spring to their minds. That's the end-goal but I encourage beginners to start in a relaxed un-pressured atmosphere and to get the basic techniques under their belts. All teaching is geared to students achieving their individual potential.
