Born and bred in Hampshire, I am an artist inspired by the coast and countryside of my favourite area of the south Hampshire coast along the Solent, and of neighbouring Dorset. The nearby saltmarsh and sea wall walk between Milford and Lymington is a constant source of changing light, colour and texture throughout the year, along with the seasonal wildlife visitors and residents- geese, waders, seals and much more. A painters palette has much to choose from here and this overlaps into my work as an art teacher too.
In addition, l really enjoy painting portraits, especially animal or pet portraits. I take commissions directly and more information on this process is available on my website www.heatherjolliffeartist.com.
I also offer art gift vouchers, which can be for artworks or for art tuition.
I run my own weekly sessions locally, day art workshops, mainly to adult learners but I've many years experience helping people with drawing and painting from the ages of 8 to 80. I also offer distance tuition by email/ online as a way to receive the same art support and guidance in your own home. It's very rewarding to see people developing their own skills in art, whatever they aim to do. My teaching approach is core skills, a mixture of working from real life observations and 2d resources, along with plenty of practical demonstrations I can offer on many subjects, techniques or materials. And importantly, have some fun along the way.

I especially love working with Shin Han watercolours, such vibrant colours, plus Vallejo acrylics and also Ara acrylics. Plus getting to know the Cobra watermixable oils.
