Jeremy Ford is a former President of the SAA and lives in Ackworth near Pontefract in West Yorkshire. He studied Graphic Design at Southport College of Art (1972-5) and Illustration at Harrow College of Art (1975-8) and has been a professional Artist and Illustrator since then, illustrating a wide variety of books, magazines, and greeting cards.
He has had work commissioned by The Royal Horticultural Society, RCA Records, Bradford Exchange Limited Edition Plates, and American Express Travel Guides amongst others.
He has a Certificate in Education (Post 16) and teaches his own private drawing & painting classes in Lancashire and Yorkshire. He is a Fellow of the International Guild of Artists, a member of the British Watercolour Society and as well as being a regular demonstrator at S.A.A. events, Jeremy has also made popular Watercolour and Pastel DVD's for Teaching Art.
He has also demonstrated for St. Cuthberts Paper Mill, the makers of Bockingford and Saunders Waterford watercolour papers, and was Senior Tutor and Principal U.K. Demonstrator for the Michael Wilcox School of Colour.
Jeremy tutors Painting Holiday breaks, holds popular workshops in watercolour, oils, acrylics, pastels, and gouache and demonstrates painting throughout the UK and abroad.
