Artist and illustrator John Somerscales has been exhibiting and selling his work in and around Oxford for many years. Recent exhibitions have included displays at The Theatre Gallery, Chipping Norton and The Stables Gallery, Green College, Oxford, as well as regular participation in Oxford Artweeks. John accepts commissions for building and landscape subjects and has a strong affinity with the local environment.Past commissions have included Hertford College, Oxford and the Randolph Hotel. John teaches regular evening classes in watercolour, as well as giving talks and demonstrations to local art groups. He also hosts tutored outdoor painting sessions in the summer months.
