Originally from Oldham, Julie now lives in Blackpool, Lancashire. An award winnng artist, Julie is largely self taught. Drawing and painting since childhood she had early successes, although it wasn't until the mid 1990's that Julie decided to make art her career. Since then she has worked as an illustrator, exhibited nationally, and become a published author. and qualified art tutor. Specialising in all types of animals, her subjects also include Landscape, People, Portraiture and Still Life genres.
As an art tutor Julie gets great satisfaction from seeing all her students develop and gain confidence. Her quite, calm, tuition is relaxed, but deeply informative, ensuing many students coming back again and again.
