I studied art at school and then qualified as an occupational therapist where I used art as a therapeutic tool almost every day. I specialised in mental health and dementia and making art was an activity which helped to maintain and improve people’s skills, independence and quality of life.
During my career in healthcare, I continued to make my own art for my own pleasure, exchanging it with other artists, exhibiting in the north of England and selling my work online.
