After obtaining a degree in textiles from Ravensbourne college of Art Nikki worked as a textile designer exporting designs to US and Europe. Gap, Gloria Vanderbilt and Marks and Spencer were among clients. For 10years Nikki ran an interior design consultancy business which she sold to devote her time to her true vocation in painting alongside bringing up her family of three. Nikki works from a studio next to her home where she paints to commission and for solo and joint exhibitions in Cambridgeshire, Essex and Hertfordshire. Nikki was featured on a TV programme 'a Brush with Fame' which found newcomers to portrait painting, and was thrilled to reach the London final when she sold her final portrait to the celebrity sitter, actor Patrick Mower. Mediums preferred are acrylic,oil and mixed media, with portraits in oil, acrylic and watercolour.
